Anchors & Ivy Event Designs is a 100% Veteran-Owned company. We are a family-operated, local business located in Argyle, TX. We specialize in providing high quality event décor and expert design solutions for any event. Our mission statement is simple: “We provide affordable elegance for your occasion!”
Our business caters to a wide array of cliental from the do-it-yourselfers, to formal event planners, to those looking for a complete event design solution. What sets Anchors & Ivy apart from others is that we make planning your occasion not only a stress-free class act, but one that is uncommonly AFFORDABLE! We believe that getting married, for example, should be an unforgettable life event that doesn’t break the bank! We can help with that. Our inventory is fully stocked with high end décor. Coupled with a team that merges many years of superior floral craftsmanship, event planning, and interior scaping experience under one business model, we are privileged to be in a position to pass considerable cost savings on to our clients. So, who are we? Anchors & Ivy Event Designs was born out of a love that creators Chris and Krista Artis share for throwing epic parties!! We have been married for 29 years and are a “Navy Family.” Throughout our decades of Navy adventures together, we’ve lived all over, meeting new friends along the way, and always found reasons to host the most unforgettable events. In 2019, Chris retired from active duty, and we returned to the great state of Texas, building our forever home and planting roots in Argyle. We have an amazing daughter who serves on active duty as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Coast Guard. She was commissioned by her proud Dad right here in Argyle, Texas!
What’s in the name, “Anchors & Ivy?” Well, “Anchors” is symbolic of a father and daughter who both chose to serve their nation in the sea services of our Armed Forces. “Ivy” represents the devotion and loyalty of a mother and wife who simultaneously supports her family while learning to flourish herself, much like the way ivy grows and flourishes void of a root system.
Currently, Chris serves as a Captain at United Airlines while Krista continues to remain very active in the floral industry and YES, she still puts on those epic parties! In our free time, we enjoy making connections and friends while serving the community. With our dream of Anchors & Ivy Event Designs a reality, we look forward to providing you with event décor and design solutions that will exceed your expectations while providing “affordable elegance for your occasion!”
